The CCS, the combined AC/DC connection system from Phoenix Contact supports the charging of electric vehicles with both DC and AC. Thanks to the Vehicle-Inlet's universal mating face, only one charging socket is required for both AC and DC charging. Both Vehicle Connectors can be inserted into the CCS Vehicle-Inlet
For conventional charging the the AC power grid, the AC Vehicle Connector is inserted into the Vehicle-Inlet. For fast charging with direct current, the DC Vehicle Connector is connected with the Vehicle-Inlet.
